Preparation

2. Students gadget for kahoot
Beginning the Lesson
5 mins1. Review: Teacher will ask the student to do Kahoot games about fraction and equivalent
fraction.
2. Why Is It Bigger?: Teacher will tell them the story about bird on a wire. Explain more
about how can we say there are 5 birds on each wire and there are 3 wires, therefore we
call it 5/3.
Developing the Lesson
5 mins1. Proper Fraction: Teacher will show and with their fraction diagram and tell the
students, this is proper fraction
10 2. Improper Fraction: Teacher will tell the students that there are 2 kinds of improper
mins fraction:
a. Same numerator and denominator which will equal to one
b. Numerator is bigger than denominator. means it is bigger than one
10 3. Practice time!: Teacher will give them a worksheet about proper and improper fraction
mins (worksheet)
Closing the Lesson
5 mins1. Arrange the Dice (Exit Slip): Teacher will ask the student to line up and come one by one
to roll 2 dice. Students need to arrange the 2 numbers that appear on the dice to be a
proper or improper fraction based on the teacher instruction.
