RULES OF
SPELLING - REGULAR VERBS IN PAST TENSE
1.- The normal rule is to add ed: work = worked. If the verb ends in e , add d : live = lived.
2.- If the verb has only one syllable , one vowel and one consonant, double the consonant : stop stopped , plan planned.
3.- Verbs that end in y and before it there is a consonant change y to i , then add -ed : Study studied , carry carried

The Simple Present Tense of all verbs in English (except the verb to be and to have ) has the same form as
the infinitive. Only in the third person singular : (He, She, It ) is there a slight change made.

Add S as general rule . Eg.
