Mode of transportation: School Bus

Departure time: 10:30 am (from bus gate)

Arriving back to school: 12:30 pm (bus gate)

Total duration: 2:00 hours (Approx.)

 Desired outcomes:

1) Students will understand what is ISRO?

2) Students will become aware with working of ISRO.

3) Students will get information about achievements of ISRO.

4) Students will get information about how does PSLV, GSLV, INSAT, RISAT, IRS OCM
Aryabhatt launch vehicles looks from inside and basic understanding of their working and
differences between them.

5) Student will also get information that why there is requirement of different type of launch

6) Students will get opportunity to explore space exploration or working with ISRO as a
career opportunity.

 Resources:
1) Bus
2) Book
3) Pen
4) School / Unit camera (If possible)

 Guidelines:

1) Abide by TGES rules and regulations.

2) Follow the plan of the trip to ensure smooth functioning.

3) TGES dress code (Kurta and Jeans) to be followed.

 Yes - Yes:

1) Prior talk with Atmiya school officials for confirmation of date, time and venue.

2) Transport (Bus) requisition will be given in prior.

3) Video related to Mangalyan is to be shown in AV room prior to the date of visit for
creating curiosity and motivation for visit.

4) Permission for approval and execution of plan is to be taken from unit head.

 No - No:

1) Physical or verbal abusing of students.

2) Unnecessary movement in other zones of fair. (Other than science zone i.e. food court,
Art zone, game zone, etc.).

 Consequences:

1) Success - Plan more trips for practical exposure of theoretical concept studied in

2) Partial success - Ask for peer and unit head's suggestion for making appropriate
changes in plan.

3) Failure - Find out the cause of failure and make required changes for future visit /s.

 Teacher’s role:

1) To equip students with basic understanding of what a launch vehicle is and about Mangalyan
through video.

2) Safety of students during visit.

3) Ensure that students get all the information (as mentioned in desired outcome).

4) Ensure that all the students have got required information through assessment via. worksheet.

5) Theoretical and real life application of concepts they studied in class (as much as possible).

 Student’s role:

1) To obey and follow instructions given by respective teacher.

2) Try to clear all the doubts and get maximum relevant information from the officials or presenter.

3) Co-relate science concepts studied in classroom with information gathered from the officials /
