Following is a summation of some of the actions taken by the Walton County Board of
County Commissioners (BCC) during their March 2017 regularly scheduled meetings.
The BCC provided direction to TDC Executive Director Jay Tusa to negotiate pricing and to
return to the BCC with proposed purchase contracts for properties located in Miramar,
Seagrove and Seacrest. This direction is part of a continued process of obtaining additional
beach property that could be developed into a regional beach accesses that would be
managed by the TDC.
The BCC approved a task order with Genesis for design services for a proposed regional
beach access at the property recently acquired in Dune Allen. The property is approximately
1.12 acres and is located at 5999 County Road 30A.
