Faith Scriptures

These scriptures will strengthen your faith and bring you closer to God. When
you are feeling depressed, distressed and down in the dumps, read this. God
loves you and wants the best for you. Draw near to God and He will draw near
to you. Praise Him, love Him, worship Him and sing love songs to Him from your
heart. If your life is a mess, ask Him to fix you first, and put you in His perfect
will. Stand fast and be faithful to Him.

Regarding the impossibility of Abraham and Sarah to have a child, being very old, God
said:
Gen. 18:14 “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
Unbelief questions God’s ability to do what He said He would do.

Heb. 11:11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore
a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of
the sky…

Romans 4: 17-21 New King James Version

17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of
Him whom he believed – God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things
which do not exist as though they did;
18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many
nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead
(since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in
faith, giving glory to God,
21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to
perform.

Romans 4: 17-21 Amplified Bible

17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. He was appointed
our father – in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead
and speaks of the non-existent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if
they [already] existed. [Gen. 17:5]
18 [For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped on in faith that he
should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So
[numberless] shall your descendants be.
19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own
body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or
[when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s (deadened) womb. [Gen. 17:17;
18:11.]
20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver or doubtingly question concerning the
promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave
praise and glory to God,
21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to
do what He had promised.

Rom. 8:11 Amplified version: And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the
dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also
restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit
Who dwells in you.

Jer. 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of
peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
