Format Learning Tasks

Research Interview Students individually research topics.


Partners interview each other to gain
knowledge obtained by partner. During
whole group sharing the interviewers shares
about what they learned from their partners.
Conversation Role-Play Partners role-play certain social situations
such as a birthday party, a job interview,
meeting new people at a nonfamily party.
Partners are combined into groups of four,
and the partners must introduce each other
to the new pair, using information gained
from the initial conversation.
Convince Me Teacher presents a problem to be solved.
Students work independently to solve the
problem then convince someone else why
their solution works.
Think-Pair-Share Teacher presents question or task. Students
think individually then share and discuss their
responses with a partner.
