WBB 10202 INNOVATION MANAGEMENT GROUP PROJECT SEPTEMBER 2016

GROUP PROJECT 1 (20%)

The innovation management course is 50% assessed through two projects which
Group Project 1 (20%) and Group Project 2 (30%).

Students are required to form a group (minimum THREE (3) members in one group
and maximum is FOUR (4) members only).

For this assignment, students are required to complete a report which will
comprehend the interesting innovation of product (any product)* and choose one
company or brand that produced that product. Students need to do a research
about the product and study the history of product through their innovation. The
purpose of this study is to exposed students with the history of product which is
identify the real inventor in product innovation, how do they implement it,
determine the genesis of innovation in certain products and study the creativity of
product through great ideas and concepts.

The report should be containing:

2. Acknowledgement
3. Abstract
4. Table of Contents
5. List of Table
6. List of Figure
7. Introduction of Product
8. Company Background
9. Development of Product
10. Conclusion
11. Recommendation
12. Reference (APA REFERENCING STYLE)

Students are required to prepare the hardcopy and softcopy (CD) report (Must
be around 15 - 17 pages only), Video Presentation and PowerPoint slides.
Both of the hardcopy and softcopy (CD) need to be submitted during the
presentation day.

Assigned Date : 29 SEPTEMBER 2016 (Week 1)

Presentation and : OCTOBER 2016 (Week 5) before or at 5 pm


(during tutorial class)

research on Garmin, and another on Fitbit Surge)

The innovation management course is 50% assessed through the two projects
which Group Project 1 (20%) and Group Project 2 (30%).

the development of new product. The purpose of this study is to develop skills
which are students able to generate new ideas through think out of the box concept.
Besides, students will apply the whole process of innovation and learn about
marketing in order to launch a new product.

Students are required to prepare the hardcopy and softcopy (CD) Report (Must
be around 15 - 17 pages only), Video Presentation, Power Point slides and
prototypes of the project. Both of the hardcopy and softcopy (CD) need to be
submitted during the presentation day.

Please take note that selected project will compete in upcoming innovation
competition. Thus, students are required to focus on the project in order to gain
extra marks.
