Pre-K Programs

The following Elementary Schools have Pre-K Programs on their campus:

-Bailey (Pre K-5th Grade) -Cedar Grove (Pre K-5th Grade)

-Coopers (Pre K-5th Grade) -Fairview (Pre K-2nd Grade)

-Middlesex (Pre K-5th Grade) -Nashville (Pre K-5th Grade)

-Swift Creek (Pre K/3-5 Grades) -Williford ((Pre K-5th Grade)

-Winstead Ave. (Pre K-2nd Grade)

NRMPS has a total of 16 Elementary Schools in our system. Of these 16, the following school
are starting a duel Language/Immersion program during the 2017-2018 school year as part of
our Global School Programming initiative:

*Bailey Elementary

*Coopers Elementary

*Middlesex Elementary

*Winstead Ave Elementary

Our schools use Common Core Standards for English, Language Arts and Math. NC Essential
Standards for Science and Social Studies are also used throughout our system. Guided
Reading is used on all grade levels to drive our Literacy Instruction by focusing on critical
literacy skills during small group instruction time as part of a 90 minute daily English
Language Arts block. Our teaches are committed to guiding students to learn, create, explore,
and become lifelong problem solvers.
