Congratulations, Sarah, on your appointment overseeing the new Budget Bureau. ‘As you may be aware, we are updating the spending plan for the $1 million in our operating budget dedicated to illegal gun tracing. Also, this is privacy commission territory so loop in Tim Birch in the discussion, (you may have already done that.) One of the issues ahs been that we use a great deal of technology in community of color. Just a heads up. Also ~ we are getting two 15-person passenger vans for protest deployment. They will belong to OPD. In order to keep track of them, | recommend we assign them to the Area 1 SRS Lieutenant. This way they will always be ready for deployment. We anticipate other Units needing transport for events and the like will be asking for them on a regular basis. | recommend against loaning them at all, as the purpose is to have them available for protest on a moment's notice. ‘Thoughts?
