and style for a range of purposes.
3.1.1 Able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling: (a) sentences

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to
OBJECTIVES 1. Write at least four phrases and sentences in neat legible print.
2. Spell at least seven words correctly.
a. Presentation:
1. Teacher gets the pupils to read the dialogue. (TB page 17)
2. Teacher asks a few questions to check understanding.
3. Teacher gets the pupils to talk about the documents needed when opening a savings account.
b. Practice:
4. Teacher highlights a few words in the dialogue. (make, have, save)
5. Teach pupils about spelling rules.
ACTIVITIES 6. In words that end with an e which is silent, replace the e by adding -ing.
7. Teacher gives a few examples.
8. Teacher discusses answers with pupils.
c. Production:
9. Pupils work in pairs.
10. Pupils underlined the misspelled word in each sentence. Then, pupils rewrite the sentence with the
correct spelling.
11. Teacher checks pupils answers.
