The review committee noted that the materials Madison compiled for her review were extensive and impressive. She
has a unique selfie pedagogy which easily engages social media. The committee noted that her command of visual
analysis and presentation is directive and inclusive of nearly every type of student. These aspects are noted in the
student essays that were submitted. Madison had TCEs that were in acceptable range. Madison assessed her fall
course materials for 101A, discussed past approaches to teaching, and included two assignment sheets (a Literacy
Narrative and a Unit 1 Statement of Goals and Choices) and two different lesson plans.

throughout the past year. The committee noted that she built upon her skills by attending a Brown Bag workshop and
trained with Literacy Connects, a community organization working to develop literacy skills for adults. Also noted
was her writing of student letters of recommendation, volunteering during the National Day on Writing and her efforts
