Rules and Regulations

Cultural Dance / Modern Dance

1. The length must be more than 3 minutes and mustnt exceed 6 minutes. 5 marks will be deducted
if any troop / coy / unit disobey this rule.
2. Strictly no break dance is allowed. The troop / coy / unit will be disqualified from the
dancing competition.
3. A minimum of 1 person must participate in a dance
a. Fewer marks will be given if its less than 5 dancers
4. Judgments on winner will be based on : -
No Categories Percentage (%)
1 Dress / Costume 20
2 Style 20
3 Participation 20
4 Synchronization 25
5 Prop Materials (Ex: Paper Fan, umbrella, handkerchief) / Bonus 15
Total 100%

5. Please label clearly on your CD / DVD / Thumb Drive the TRACK NO., NAME OF YOUR
TROOP / COY / UNIT & SCHOOL.
6. Remember to claim back your properties straight after your last performance from the deejays
counter.
7. Please pass your CD / DVD / Thumb Drive whenever you reach the registration counter on that
day. We advise each troop / coy / unit to bring a spare copy of the CD / DVD / Thumb Drive in
case any of the CD / DVD / Thumb Drive malfunctions.
8. Judgments category:-
a. Dress/Costume base on how the attire of the dance is suitable for the dance theme.
i. 1~10mark: Attire for the dance is below average.
ii. 11~20mark: Attire for the dance is above average.
b. Style base on how the style of the dance is suitable for the dance theme.
i. 1~10mark: Style of the dance is below average.
ii. 11~20mark: Style of the dance is above average.
c. Participation base on amount of participation of dancer in the performance.
i. 1~10mark: 1~4 dancers in 60% of the total performance time.
ii. 11~20mark: 5 dancers or more in 60% of the total performance time.
d. Synchronization base on synchronization amount dancer in the performance.
i. 5mark: 1 dancer in overall performance.
ii. 6~15mark: Synchronization of the performance is below average.
iii. 16~25mark: Synchronization of the performance is above average.
e. Prop Materials base on props use during the performance to enhance the dance theme.
i. 1~7mark: Props use in the performance is below average.
ii. 8~15mark: Props use in the performance is above average.

Singing

1. Can be presented either by solo or a group with a maximum of 5 people.

a. You may bring along your musical instrument.
2. Either song can be choosing to perform from the 80s till present.
3. You must pass to us your KARAOKE version only to us whenever you reach the registration
counter on that day.
4. Judgments on winner will be based on : -

1 Dress / Costume 20
2 Personality 10
3 Voice 30
4 Lyrics 25
5 Action 15
Total 100%

5. Each performer can sing ONE song only.

6. Please label clearly on your CD / DVD / Thumb Drive the TRACK NO., NAME OF YOUR
TROOP / COY / UNIT & SCHOOL.

ii. 6~10mark: the ambient is above average.
c. Voice base on voice of the singer suitable for the song theme.
i. 1~10mark: Voice of the singer is mono tone or lack of vocal.
ii. 11~20mark: Voice of the singer is below average.
iii. 21~30mark: Voice of the singer is above average.
d. Lyrics base on singer able to follow the song lyrics.
i. 5mark: If singer does not use karaoke version or forgot the lyrics more than 5
times.
ii. 6~15mark: if singer only happens to be forgot the lyrics less than 5 times.
iii. 16~25mark: if singer only happens to be forgot the lyrics once.
e. Action How well the action of the singer
i. 1~7mark: If the singer only standstill and less action.
ii. 8~15mark: If the singer action is appropriate to the song theme.

b. Spontaneity how fast the promoter react to the situation/question.
i. 1~10mark: spontaneous is below average.
ii. 11~20mark: spontaneous is above average.
c. Style base on style of the item been promote.
i. 1~10mark: Style of theme is below average.
ii. 11~20mark: Style of theme is above average.
d. Action base on singer able to follow the song lyrics.
i. 1~10mark: If the promoter is only standstill to promote the item.
ii. 11~20mark: if the promoter uses proper action to promote the item.
e. Bonus How well the item been convince to the judge.
i. 1~5mark: Judge Love the promotion is below average.
ii. 6~10mark: Judge Love the promotion is above average.
