Twenty-eight days after I
left the hospital where I
was for five weeks of
bypassing the option of
dying I took my first hike.
It was a simple one.

should do to make surfing

children to surf if certain
guidelines are established
between the parents and chil-
dren.
The internet is not evil; Ive
heard people say that they
are afraid of what may hap-
pen if they go on the internet.
When you go on the internet
it opens a whole new world
of adventure and communi-
cation. I compare surfing the
internet to driving a car,
know where you are going,
am aware of where you are,
and keep your eyes open to
any hidden dangers that may
come your way. There is
inappropriate material on the
internet, and there have been
cases where children have
been victimized by serious
crime from the internet.
Children can greatly reduce
the risks by following some
simple guidelines.
Never give out personnel
informationhome address,
school, name or telephone
number or e-mailin a pub-
lic chat, message or bulletin
board, that information is
available for all to see not
only your friends. Think
carefully before revealing
your age, marital status or
financial information.
Get to know what service
your child is using. Is it
Myspace.com or another
website? If you dont know
logon and have your child
show you where they go.
Find out what information
the site offers, what content
is available and any ways to
block objectionable material.
Never respond to messages
that are obscene or sugges-
tive, belligerent, threatening,
or make you feel uncomfort-
able. Encourage your chil-
dren to tell you if they
encounter such messages. If
you or your child should
receive such messages for-
ward those to your internet
service provider so appropri-
ate action can be taken.
Never allow a child to

Millions of Muslim refugees
in Europe are demanding,
threatening, crude, ungrate-
ful, and violent against peo-
ple and property. We may
not want to believe it, but
the evidence is clear, google

their adopted countries and
cultures generally isnt their
goal; their goal is to trans-
form those countries into

tions. Thousands of
Muslims from
immigrant/refugee families
in Western countries demon-
strate their commitment to

ity in Muslim countries sup-
port: death for homosexu-
als, stoning of adulterers,
