FUTURES Fostering Unity Towards Upward


Resilience, Education, and Success
Program Purpose

The purpose of FUTURES is to


develop and evaluate a new program
to support PSU and PCC students
who have experienced foster care
and mental health stressors.

How it Works
All participants: Half of the participants are randomly chosen to:

Program Eligibility

Age 26 or younger
Freshman, sophomore, or junior at PSU or
PCC and enrolled in 6 or more credits (PCC
students open to idea of transferring to a 4-year
university sometime in their future)
Were or are currently in foster care
Experience mental health stressors (e.g., trauma,
depression, anxiety)
