Now celebrating its 50th year of service in support of New Yorks K-12 public schools, the New York State Gaming Commissions Lottery Division
is proud to provide this year-end overview of its Traditional and Video Lottery business operations.
New Yorks Lottery once-again has set an industry gold-standard for its contributions to education, which for the fiscal year ending March 31,
2017, totaled $3.27 Billion. Combined sales and net win for the same time period totaled $9.68 Billion.

Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute other state aid to education. It takes into account both a school districts size and its income level; larger, lower-income school
districts receive proportionately larger shares of Lottery school funding.
