ContemporaryLiteratureisacourseinwhichstudentsreadandevaluatecurrentpopularfiction.Studentswill
read,ataminimum,fournovelsthroughouttheterm.Writingforthecourseincludesaweeklyreadinglog,a
characterorthemeanalysis,andanargumentativefinal.

Books
Youmayselectnovelsfromthechoicesavailableintheclassroomlibrary,schoollibrary,ontheNook,orata
publiclibrary.Youmayalsochoosetopurchaseothercontemporarytitlesofyourchoice.

RequiredMaterials
Youwillberequiredtohaveyournoveleverysingleday.Failuretodosowillresultinalossofparticipation
points.

Participation
Dailyparticipationpointsareawardedforreadinginclass.Eachdayisworth10points.Youareexpectedto
