Romeo and Juliet responsibility

Have you ever loved someone so much that you would give up the world just to

be with them? In the story of Romeo and Juliet this is exactly what happens, they give

up everything they have just to be with each other. Romeo and Juliet are the ones to

blame because they follow their intuition and they’re not in their right mind. They cause

this tragedy because of their frivolousness.

There are many people in this tragedy that were responsible for what happens

with Romeo and Juliet, but I think that the most guilty people in this tragic story are

Romeo and Juliet themselves. Romeo is the main person to blame because he isn’t

thinking straight, and he just falls in love with Juliet without processing everything

through. “Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till

this night”, (Shakespeare, W. 2000, p. 30). The quote tells you that Romeo is careless,

and he only thinks about himself and his needs, which also causes his suicide. He

commits suicide just to be with Juliet, since she also kills herself, but he doesn’t know

that Juliet is still alive, which was his big mistake. Even if he really thinks he loves her,

you can always fall in love with someone else. “Love is the best school, but the tuition is

high and the homework can be painful”, (Ackerman, D. 2012). The quote demonstrates

that love is the main reason why this tragedy happened because Romeo falls in love

with Juliet, and their minds get mixed up.

Juliet is another main person to blame of the cause of this tragedy because of
