Know all men by these presents that we Bennet Beardsley & Mary Be[ardsley] husband & wife of the Town & County of Oakland & Territory of Michigan in consid[eration] of four Hundred dollars to us paid by Calvin C. Parks of the Village of Auburn in said County & Terr. the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge do by these presents Give Grant Bargain Sell and convey unto the said Calvin C Parks his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of Land situate in said County of Oak[land] Bounded and described as follows to wit, being a part of the west half of the south west quarter of Section Twenty five in Township three North of Range Ten East Beginning at a Post standing at the south East corner of a lot owned by William Thomas & on the line of Land owned by S. Weed running North two Degrees & [?] minutes west three chains & seventy five links to a Post thence North Sixty [five?] degrees and twenty minutes East nine chains to a Post thence North forty two deg[rees] & twenty minutes East three chains Thence North two degrees & twenty minutes west one chain & fifty links to a post Thence seventy one degrees & Twenty m[inutes] E. three chains & seventy five links to a Post thence South three chains & Eighty [?] links to a Post thence south fifty three degrees and twenty minutes west six chains & fifty nine links Thence South forty degrees & twenty minutes west five chains Eighty seven links thence west three chains & sixteen links to the place of beg[inning] containing five acres & seven hundredeths of one Acre of Land Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the said Land in anywise appertaining and belonging; To have and to hold the above granted premises to the said Calvin C. Parks his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof for[ever] and we the said Bennet & Mary Beardsley for our heirs Executors and Admin[istrators] do covenant with the said Calvin C. Parks his heirs and assigns that we are lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises that they are free from all incumbrances that we have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Calvin C. Parks as aforesaid and that we will and our heirs Executors and adm[in]istrators shall warrant and defend the same to the said Calvin C. Parks his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demands of all Persons In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty [three] Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Chal C. Territory of Michigan } Oakland County } Be it remembered that on the fourth day of Sept[ember] A.D. 1833 personally appeared before me the undersigned Notary [Public] duly appointed commissioned and sworn for said County the within [named] Bennet Beardsley and Mary his wife well known to me to be the Per[sons] who Executed the within Deed and severally acknowledged that they [executed] the same for the purposes therein expressed. At the same time the said Mary was examined by me separate and apart from her said husband who [?] acknowledged that she executed the same as aforesaid without fear or [comp]ulsion of her said husband Given under my hand and seal of office [the] day & year above written } Charles C.
