There are aliens (1) ______________________ , somewhere. I
strongly believe this. Not sure what they look like, though. I (2)
______________________ they are green, like they are in science
fiction movies. I also don’t think they look like us. But I’m (3)
______________________ . I just don’t think we’ll ever (4)
______________________ find any. They live too far away. If you

out there. All a planet needs is to be warm and have water and (6)

There are aliens (1) out there, somewhere. I strongly believe this.
Not sure what they look like, though. I (2) really doubt they are
green, like they are in science fiction movies. I also don’t think they
look like us. But I’m (3) sure they exist. I just don’t think we’ll ever
(4) see any or find any. They live too far away. If you think about
(5) it logically, there has to be aliens out there. All a planet needs is
to be warm and have water and (6) life will exist. There are billions
and billions of planets in the universe, so there (7) are probably
millions and millions that have life. Alien life. It’s also likely that (8)
some of the aliens are much more intelligent than we are. I wonder

Life (1) is full of mysteries. The world is full of mystery. In fact,
both life and the world are mysteries. How (2) exactly did we get
here? The natural (3) world is full of mystery. We have unlocked
many of nature’s secrets, but there are many things (4) we still
don’t know. There are (5) some mysteries that people (6) don’t
believe in. Is there really a Loch Ness Monster or a Yeti? Do ghosts
and the supernatural really exist? Perhaps the biggest mystery of all

working on this. (8) I find people here on Earth to be a mystery. I

LISTENING GAP FILL
The whole world (1) ________________ UFOs. Do they exist or don’t

Probably someone (3) a little crazy. If you think about it, UFOs are

about UFOs being space ships full of little green men. I’m not sure

make increase their possibility in finding work.
