Year 1 ● Continue into second year of professional position focused on higher
2017-2018 education marketing.
● Seek opportunities to continue developing presentation skills within my
position with a special emphasis on working with students and staff in
the Division of Student Affairs.
● Maintain strong relationships with colleagues in the Division of Student
Affairs with formal and informal check-ins when time allows.
● Advocate for the opportunity to develop a new budget for my position.
● Engage in regional student affairs conference opportunities.
● Engage in regional mentorship, if possible..
● Continue leadership role in one of NASPA’s Knowledge Communities.
● Research enrolling in UC Davis Web Development Certificate program
to expand professional skills in HTML, CSS, and Java coding.
● Launch personal consultation services focused on higher education and
social media marketing.

Year 2 ● Continue into third year of professional position focused on higher
2018-2019 education marketing.
● Enroll in UC Davis Web Development Certificate program to expand
professional skills in HTML, CSS, and Java coding.
● Maintain strong relationships with colleagues in the Division of Student
Affairs with formal and informal check-ins when time allows.
● Advocate for the opportunity to develop a new budget for my position.
● Launch campus-wide social media committee initiative with
representatives from key stakeholder areas.
● Present best practices in university social media marketing via a webinar
or conference like CASE.
● Propose best practices presentation to NASPA Regional Conference.
● Continue effort to be involved on committees hosted within the Division
of Student Affairs.

Year 3 ● Finish Web Development Certificate program.
2019-2020 ● Continue into fourth year of professional position focused on higher
education marketing.
● Research career opportunities as a Director or Assistant Director of
Marketing for an institution’s Division of Student Affairs or mid-level
opportunities within a corporate group like Amazon or Microsoft with
initiatives focused on higher education.
● Research potential PhD programs with emphases in higher education,
digital media, and sociology.
● Maintain leadership positions within either JASPA or NASPA.
● Assess successes and growth points of campus-wide social media.
● Propose best practices presentation to NASPA National Conference.
● Continue involvement on committees hosted within the Division of
Student Affairs.
