Positions are permanent and have a 3 month probationary


period.

About us

Imagination Lane is a new children's play caf situated in Poole,


Nantwich.
Opening hours will be:

9.30am-3.30pm Monday -Friday


10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays

Extra hours may be required for private after hours parties/


private hire

Catering for children age 0-5 years, Imagination Lane is a


unique play cafe focusing on the importance of role play in the
early years.. where children's Imaginations can run wild!

We are looking for fun, friendly staff to work in the caf and
general play area.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Serving / dealing with customers


- Taking orders
- Preparing drinks
- Serving food
- Maintaining play area cleanliness
- Cleaning tables
- Ensure all food/drink displays are fully stocked at all times
- Maintaining/cleaning washroom facilities
- Assist with birthday parties
- Able to follow instructions correctly and work with minimal
supervision
General work involved in day to day running of business
- Any other duties where required

The ideal candidate must be an all rounder, with a happy nature


who is enthusiastic, bubbly, enjoys working with children and
has good customer service skills.
There are no childcare responsibilities as it is parental
supervision within the play centre.

Person specification

Applicants must :

- Speak English
- Have experience in the hospitality industry
- Catering experience
- Be able to be flexible to work weekends and bank holidays if
needed
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be well presented and hardworking

Qualifications- Essential

- Exam qualifications of Maths & English at C grade ( or


equivalent )

Qualifications- Desirable

- First Aid Certificate and Basic Food Hygiene certifcates would


be advantageous but full training will be given.

Experience - Essential

- Working in a customer facing environment


- Working within a team and working independently

Skills - Essential

- Ability to ensure a high standard of health and safety and


excellent standard of hygiene in the working environment

- Efficient with good organisational skills


- A positive attitude and commitment to provide good service

- Ability to manage stock control

Cook

Full time Cook (7.80 per hour)

9-4 Mon-Friday with option of weekend work) ( 35 hours +)

Part Time Cook (7.80 per hour)

2/3 days weekday/weekend (21 hours).

You will have a passion for working with customers and enjoy
being a part of a busy team.
This role will require an individual to prepare and serve great
food for our customers visiting our caf whilst adhering to
relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene regulations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Oversee and carry out the preparation, cooking and serving


of meals and snacks.

- Sourcing and ordering of stock (in line with financial


regulations),checking quantity and quality of stock received,
following up on any deficiencies with suppliers, create stock
control procedures and ensure they are adequate and kept
up to date

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness at all times


- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations, including
ensuring that appropriate clothing is worn at all times and that
a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained by yourself
and all others using or working in the kitchen.

- Completion of the food standards agency booklet


- Ensure all kitchen equipment is regularly checked and any
faults/repairs required are reported

- Ensure food is stored correctly and at correct temperature


- Establish and implement a deep cleaning schedule ensuring
regular cleaning of all work surfaces and ancillary areas.

- NVQ Level 3 in Catering (or equivalent)

appeal to pre school age children and their parents

- Ability to create a range of choices including for those with


specific dietary requirements

- A positive attitude and commitment to provide good service

- Ability to manage stock control
