Know all men by these presents the [sic, that] we Calvin P. Webster & Betsey Webster wife of the said Calvin of the County of Oakland Territory of Michigan for and in consideration of fifty dollars to us in hand paid by Isaac L Smith of the same place the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledge[d] have remised released and for ever quit claimed and by these presents do remise release and for ever quit claim unto the said Isaac S Smith his heirs & assigns for ever all the right title and interest we have in and to the following described piece or parcel of Land to wit the North west quarter of Section thirty six & South west quarter of Section twenty five Township three North of Range Ten East in the Land district of [Detroit] and Territory of Michigan together with all and singular the privileges & appurtenances thereof in any wise belonging To have and to hold the said premises to him the said Isaac S Smith and to his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither we nor any Person claiming by through or under us shall hereafter lay and claim to the promises or any part of the same but they & every of them shall by these presents be for ever bound. In witness of which we have hereunto set our hands and seals this Eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty three. Webster and Betsey his wife to me personally known to be the Persons within described and who executed the within Deed and the said Betsey being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the within Deed freely and voluntarily without any threat fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other Person I allow it to be recorded Saml Satterlee, Justice of the peace Received for Recording August 22d A.D. 1833 at Eleven O.Clock in the forenoon Walter Sprague, Register of O.C.M.T.
