Summary of the Event (at least 3 major points; each point will have its own
paragraph)

A. New York Citys Empire State Building lights. The lights used to be controlled.
I believe there were certain colors they could choose from. It was very pretty
but could use some improvements.
B. Then in 2012 they made an led light system. The system was able to change
from about sixteen million colors! The colors could even change
instantaneously.
C. You can now become an Empire State Building Lightning Partner. You may
apply now using the link above. You can become a partner however for
personal events the Empire State Building does not grant lighting.

Your Opinion of the Event (at least 3 sentences).

In my opinion it is a really great thing that the Empire State Building
has about 16 million lights! I think it is even more amazing how they
can change instantaneously. I think it is really nice how the lights will
light up with what happens. A while ago there was an attack in Paris
and I believe the lights were lit in the colors that represent Paris.

Relate your Event to a Historical Event (compare and contrast with current
event).
In 1976 I believe is when the light shows began. It has a few colors and
was really pretty. The Towers lights would light up according to the
holidays which I thought was pretty cool. Now or well since 2012 they
upgraded the lights. Since then there have been about 16 million
different colors! It now often synchronized to music broadcast
simultaneously on iHeartMedia stations.

This event can relate to state- building and empire under Political
Structures theme. This event is about the Empire State Building which
can relate because it is a state-building. It can also relate to an Empire
because it is an Empire state building.

Questions You Have About the Event (4).

I would like to know if you can become a partner at any age or if you
have to be 18 and older. I would also like to know how many people go
to New York just to see the Empire State Building. Another question I
have is, is it only one person who controls the lights and equipment, if
it is just the system thing or a group of people? Lastly I would like to
know If something were to happen to the building for example if it were
to be burned down would they make another one?
