An easy way to resize your images in Adobe Photoshop
1.Open image in
Photoshop
2. Select the
CROPtool
NOTE:
For landscapes this
should be 1400px
wide x 1050px deep
@ 72dpi resolution.
For portraits it should
be 1050px wide by
1400px deep also @
72dpi resolution.
6. Next select
W x H x Resolution
again and click on
New Crop Preset.
7. Choose a name
for your preset - say
UKCA Landscape -
key this in and click
the OK button.
The name of your
preset will now
appear next to your
chosen sizes and
also in the drop down
menu. (You can re-
peat this to also cre-
ate a Portrait crop)
NOTE:
You can double check
that your image is the
correct size and
resolution by opening
the IMAGE dialogue
and selecting Image
Size
9. Go to the FILE
menu and select
SAVEAS.

In this Portrait
example, the original
image can benefit 1000 px
from some cropping
at the top but not at
the bottom where the
standard portrait crop

would take out not
only some of the sky
but also the bottom of
the fishermans legs.
