Aids: chalk, blackboard, notebooks, students book, worksheets
Aims: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
O1: answer the teacher's questions
O2: to know what is the purpose of using causative have;
O3: to give examples;
O4: to make them understand the rules of usage;
O5: to practice more;
O6. to make the difference between the meaning in Romanian and in
English regarding causative have.

Stages of the lesson

Warm up (2)
Greetings. Students answer the teachers questions regarding the pupil on duty
and the absents. The teacher asks students questions such as ,,How are you
today., ,,Hows the weather? etc. The students prepare for the lesson.

Checking homework (5)
The teacher asks the students to read their homework. The homework was to
make some sentences with phrasal verbs with ,,turn. The teacher checks it. The
others students correct them as well.
Type of interaction teacher- student, student teacher.
Checking previous knowledge (9)
The teacher asks the students to give examples of cases of electrical
equipments, to translate some words from the text and to give examples of
situations when the speaker reports a fault or request an action. They are
supposed to give many examples.

Introducing new lesson (23)
Before passing to the new lesson the students are asked to tell if they have
heard about causative have. The students give their opinions. Then, the teacher
writes down on the blackboard the title of the lesson: Causative have (have
something done), she gives the rules on usage, explains and she gives as
many examples as possible. The teacher explains the difference in meaning in
Romanian and English, so as the students understand well. The students write
them down in their notebooks.
The teacher assures that all the students understand the lesson. If they do not,
she explains once again and clarifies the aspects that may appear. Finally she
repeats the rule of causative have.

Checking understanding (8)
The teacher checks if the students understood the causative have. If they do not,
she explains again.
If they mistake, another student corrects, and if the last one is wrong, the teacher
corrects and asks them to repeat.
The teacher gives them an worksheet. The students are supposed to solve some
exercises, more precisely to translate some sentences with causative have.
In turns they go to the blackboard. The teacher corrects the sentences. All the
students write down the examples in their notebooks.
In the end she asks the students to repeat the general rule related to causative
have.

Homework (3)
The students must solve the rest of the exercises (on the worksheet) at home.
They have to do, as a homework, exercise no. 5 page 65. The teacher explains
them again what they have to do. She writes down an example on the
blackboard. She assures that all the students understood the homework.

The students that answered many times are graded.
Dismissing students.
