Sound design
Why?
This is because the audience is able to have a clear understanding of what the actors are saying, and
in some sense build a bond with them. Engaging them in the text is the most important aspect as
then they will know the topic of conversation and become more interested in the action.
Lighting design
What lighting will you have in your installation? Consider health and safety. The lights will based on
the floor, shining up at the wall that our work will be presented on to. This will brighten up the production
and make it look more interesting over the other installations. The health and safety issues with this is
that someone may not see the lights on the floor, and trip on them or stand on them, causing a trip or fall.
Also another issue would be that the lights would get very hot over the course of the day, which would
burn someone if they were to touch it.
Projection vs screen
Will you project your video or play it on a screen?
This be projected onto the wall.

lighting
Because there is a lot of lighting when can
have a lot of lights to make it stand out like
a game show.
sound
All the sound will be coming through
headphones so should be a high quality
sound.
screens / projectors
We will be using a projector to project the
media onto the wall
Copyright issues
http://tubularinsights.com/copyrighted-music-in-video/
How can you be certain that the work you are displaying does not violate any
copyright infringements?
By only using our own work rather than using someone elses, all speech and music
would be approved by the owner before use so that there isnt any issues of us taking
work from someone else. As we will be using other people multi camera work, we have
to confirm that is ok with them in order to not cause any issues on the day.
We are using a screen to show off our work, and the techniques we are using is multicamera. Because
multi camera was our choice of technique a screen was the best to use because you are able to see
clearly the techniques used.
We a using an electronic-based style to our production. We will only have one screen playing all the
productions one after another.
All the productions that are being shown in our work have a narrative story, either a chat show, or a
game, which has a straight forward way of following.
I would compare our style of installation with Sam Taylor woods because in her clip of David Beckham
she used a manikin to have a more physical aspect towards her work. Although we are not using a
manikin but we are creating the set that you would be in if you were there in the game studio which
carries on with the physical aspect. But we will be including narrative as the game shows have a
narrative so we are just improving on Sam Taylor Woods installation.
Were not using a narrative form because we dont want to distract the audience from the video because
this is what we want them to see. Our installation already has narrative to it as its a TV show being
shown on the projection. We must keep the psychical aspect throughout our installation and narrative
would take us away from this.
We chose a corner section for our installation and we are going to set up the space as if you are on the
set of a chat show. The hosts chair will be right underneath the screen where the installation will be
projected. This helps the viewers understand the concept of the videos and hopefully give the impression
that they are on the set.
