CRITERIA OF GOOD RESPONSE IN ASTHMA

 Clinical (subjective)

o Significant improvement or retractions

o Tachypnea

o Air exchange

o There should be no cyanosis

 no altered loss of consciousness

 objective

o PEFR or FEW should be above 75% of predicted or known personal best

o This parameter should be sustained for at least 1 hour
