Killings have struck Verona

Sunday, June 4, 1450

By: Jacob Stinson

During a hot day in Verona, there were fights between Montagues and Capulets.

Montagues; Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio had confrontation with Capulet, Tybalt.
Does not end well.

Killings have been committed, citizens are in shock. Tybalt kills Mercutio. Romeo kills
Tybalt. The prince exiles Romeo from Verona, and declares if Romeo is found within the
city, he will be killed.

This all happened in public, on a street in the city of Verona.

On an average hot day in Verona.

Mercutio and Benvolio where confronted by Tybalt. Romeo then entered. Tybalt
commanded Romeo to draw his sword. Instead, Mercutio began to fight Tybalt. Romeo
stepped in between the two, and Tybalt stabbed Mercutio under Romeos arm, killing
him. Then Romeo killed Tybalt and fled.

Montagues and Capulets do not like each other. Mercutio taunts Tybalt. At the Capulet
house party Tybalt was not able to kill Romeo. Tybalt feeling that Romeo is a villain, he
challenged Romeo to a duel. Romeo did not accept, which is strange. Instead, Mercutio
fought for Romeo, and died in the process. Angered Romeo then killed Tybalt. Benvolio
told Romeo to flee because of the outraged citizens that were approaching them.

This is the last that was heard from Romeo as he cried O, I am fortunes fool!

As Mercutio died he cursed both the Montagues and Capulets, saying: A plague o
both your houses!

Disrupting the peace will be an automatic banishment from Verona.

If anyone has any information of where Romeo is, contact the Prince. $1000
reward if found.
