1000 Watts Sports Makes Giving Back a Priority

While only a year old, 1000 Watts Sports decided to give back to its community by providing
scholarships to deserving kids from Chicago's West and South sides. A sponsorship program
enables this newer sports programming company to send dozens of kids to camp this summer.
Thanks to donations from generous donors, 27 kids are able to attend this all-day sports camp held
for eight weeks this summer.

Chicago, IL, June 13, 2017 --( 1000 Watts Sports, a Chicago-based sports programming
company for kids, has given 27 Chicago-area students scholarships to attend its sports camp this summer.
Children who may not have had the opportunity to attend summer camp are now going to be part of this
sports camp that is all about friendships and fun.

1000 Watts Sports owner Brandon Watts said, “I always dreamed of having a children's sports
programming business that was able to reach into the inner city of Chicago and welcome children of all
different socio-economic backgrounds.” Watts added, “It was beautiful to see parents from all different
backgrounds at our orientation, and they were all there for the same reason - that embodies what the
United States is all about.” Watts knows what it's like to be a minority, and he feels like he's in a position
to impact lives and actually make a difference.

While 1000 Watts Sports is only a year old, it still has made philanthropy and full inclusion a major
priority. Through the support of local businesses and families, money was raised to send deserving kids to
camp this summer. The next goal is to raise money for scholarships for other 1000 Watts Sports programs
in addition to camp. In addition to its sports camp, 1000 Watts also offers a football program, basketball
program, birthday parties and days off activities.

Amy Kite, Director of Communications at 1000 Watts Sports, said, “Many businesses have to wait years
until they can consider giving back to the community, but Brandon Watts decided the time was now.”
Kite added, “It's great to be a part of a team that makes its dreams a reality.”
