Janet Shaw-Russells exhibition, Body Language, is a series of works focusing on the language of the human body;
its beauty, strength and vulnerability. The majority of the pieces in the exhibition are drawn with graphite and
coloured pencil on the delicate tissue paper of sewing patterns.
Shaw-Russell resides in Brandon, Manitoba, where she is very active in the art community.
Jamie McCallum was raised on a cattle ranch in Southwestern Manitoba. McCallum resides in British Columbia,
however, family ties keep her connected to the prairies. McCallums desire to paint has always been present, and
through the years she has managed an art and framing company, and worked in graphic design and photography.
Through her art, McCallum pushes proportions to evoke mood and curiosity, using colour and texture to further
extend these boundaries.
Gallery Hours are 10 am 6 pm daily, from June 3 through September Long Weekend.
