LO1. Understand media products and the institutions that create them.
This carries two grades. P1 and then P2,M1 or D1
Current Grade: P1 and M1 (Pass & Merit)
If you improve this work you could achieve a D1 (Distinction).

You need to apply some more video terminology to this (cinematography, editing,
mise-en-scene) and analyse them in regard to how they help to generate meaning
and relate to the audience. Add more on the use of the sister role and the use of
strong females. How does this subvert the typical Disney storyline?

LO2. Understand the relationship between media products and their target audience
This is graded either P3, M2 or D2

Current Grade: P1

Consider Primary and Secondary audiences. Who is the main audience (children) and
secondary (parents). Be more specific and explain in detail regarding the
demographics, socio-economic groups and psychographics.
Consider Disneys princess legacy and how this relates to the audience in which it is
intended.

LO3. Understand how media products are distributed and promoted


This is graded either P4 or fail.

Consider the huge amount of merchandise for the movie and how this furthers the
promotion of the film. Can you remember what this is called?

LO4. Understand ethical, legal, and regulatory issues associated with media products
This is graded either P5 or M3.

Be more specific on the BBFC / Rating. How did they come to this decision (look at
the rating system)
How could this rating impact on the product and its audience? Before and after
release?
