BORN FROM A VETERAN’S DAY MIRACLE
Town of Lyman to host heroes music festival
June 23-24 ABOUT CPT LITTLE  |
to support
Warrior 360
BY KAELYN CASHMAN
STAFF WRITER

A new music festival is
coming to downtown Ly-
man to honor veterans.
The June 23-24 festival
came about to raise funds
for Warrior 360, an orga-
nization which saved the
home of a young veteran
last year, according to a
press release sent by Deb-
orah Millikan with BME
Group.

Co-founder of Warrior 360 CPT Mark Little will be speaking at
Heroes Rock the River.
CPT Little enlisted in the Army in 2002. He served as an enlist-
ed Soldier in a Sapper Squad, specializing in explosives, until the
rank of SGT. In 2006 he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant,
graduating from George Mason University. Less than one year
later, he was deployed to Iraq where he led more than 60 Sol-
diers in continuous combat operations.
CPT Little commanded over 175 combat patrols during his 3
months in Iraq and was hit by 3 IEDs and numerous ambushes.
Exactly one month after receiving a Purple Heart from an IED
blast injury, he was involved in a third IED explosion which tore
