Chapter 1 Functional Description Two or three paths are configured for Iub interfaces. SIG+OMCB+R99+HSUPA are preferred to be carried on IMA group. SIG+OMCB+R99+HSDPA may be carried on VLAN1. If VLAN1 and VLAN2 fail. If IMA group fails. Only when this switch is turned on. HSDPA is preferred on VLAN2. If IMA Group and VLAN2 fail. The switch for multipath protection policies is (IubPathProSwith). the RNC is connected to the network via two IMA groups. VLAN1 and VLAN2 are diverted to different network media. SIG+OMCB+R99+HSUPA may be carried on VLAN1. HSDPA may be carried on VLAN1. If IMA Group and VLAN1 fail. Multipath protection on Iub interface enhances the availability in case of link faulty. the RNC provides protection for Node B network elements. at the same time connected to the conversion equipment via a FE/GE port. 1-1 SJ-20120802112720-117|2012-08-06 (R1. or one or two ATM STM-1 ports. If VLAN1 fails. HSUPA may be carried on IMA Group. The multipath protection protects the traffic impacted by one path failure. HSUPA+HSDPA may be carried on IMA Group.
