IT’S NOT MIND THAT’S ENLIGHTENED - IT’S HEART!
♥ This video ♥ This video on YT (YouTube) if you prefer :) ♥ iTunes podcast ♥ Blip.tv channel I come to the journal in a certain amount of inner discomfort this day. I’ve just had about five things or so go together that are all pointing in a certain direction - an uncomfortable one - well, for the ego, at least. Maybe the heart - but I doubt it. So, let’s write and see. These things are all somewhat represented in the negative comment I just got on one of my videos.* It looked like a personal attack, but it’s really not. The guy was just voicing his thought - which was that I am makyo. Any enlightenment I may have had, according to him, is garbage - illusion - just part of the illusory identity we are trying to vacate.. supposedly. The guy is a Jed McKenna buff, I’m thinking, as he cites Jed’s use of the word in his book... And that’s fine. I don’t have it in for McKenna or anyone, for that matter. He’s another voice, out there, singing his particular song of the One - and of the way to get there. His path is legitimate, too, as far as helping some people wake-up. Acerbic, astringent to the max - but hey, if it works, then it works. Truth stands up. That’s one of a couple of negative comments, different videos. Then, too, I’ve got a close friend gone into hiding, or something. Anyway, she’s not communicating at all - and it’s been a couple of weeks, which is quite odd. Never happened before. Interesting. Finally, I had an interesting experience trying to explain some
things about heart to another developing friend - an Internet friend. It’s one thing to write the journals, and to speak to a general audience, so to speak. One on one, though - that’s different. Sometimes I really wish I could reach out, and make it make sense to you. I found myself trying, anyway, to have that kind of an eMail exchange. Usually, I’m smarter, in that I know it just won’t work. Heart makes no sense to mind, no matter what. But when you know someone a little bit, you find yourself maybe wishing it would - so you could make it easier for them. Well, that’s nonsense, as I found. It doesn’t work. Mind, even if it totally got everything about this, about the path and enlightenment, and the higher dimensions, and all of that - it would still not get it. Know why not? Because it’s an experience. Mind studies things - it does not experience them. This stuff must be known internally, or not at all. All the words do is provides some hints, some vague pointers to passageways that might lead the right way. No one can do your path for you though. It’s a real do-it-yourself affair. Experiential. You’ll find everyone agreeing, too, that no words can contain it, whatever it is. I’m not talking some mountain-top experience, here. That’s not necessary to awakening. You may or may not have those, and when you do, you may or may not be awakened. There’s no one-to-one correlation between such experience and awakening. Experience is just a come and then go thing. Awakening stays. Through awakening we get a whole new way of both being and of looking at things - a fairly total reality change. That’s a fact, but it doesn’t tell you much, does it? And, of course - mind wants to know. That’s why we always tell you to stop listening to the mind. Just ignore it. You can’t turn it off - no need to - but you don’t have to pay it attention. Just look away. Go in heart. Just focus there. That is all. Be still, inside, and just listen - but listen from heart. You work on that until you’ve got the sense of it, pretty well, then you begin taking it into your daily
routine, your comings and goings and doings, and all that. You still do the stuff that needs doing, only with this new focus, instead of listening to mind. That will keep you fairly occupied for a good while, I’m guessing. It’s not easy task, and requires strong intent and determination. But anyone can do this. It’s not rocket science, or anything like. Age, race, language, health status, mental ability... none of that matters. Everyone has this access to heart. We’re mostly too scattered and unfocused, at first. We can thank the media for a lot of that, but we played along, so be sure to thank yourself, as well. You may find that by turning off and unplugging all of your tech toys, at least during the time when you’re working on this intensively, may help - may help a lot. Cell phone, Internet, microwave, TV, cordless phone, wireless stuff... all of it, just cut it off. If you notice the change in you when you do that, and you want to do it more thoroughly, then not only turn off, but unplug those things, especially the microwave. You’d be surprised at their emissions, even when supposedly off. With the cell phone, it’s on unless the battery is out. You might not be able to use it, but the cell towers know where it is, and the Feds can make use of a cell phone that’s off to record your conversations around the table, in the car, or wherever it is. That’s another subject, I know - it’s not strictly necessary or even mandatory to enlightenment or to concentration - it just helps - a lot, it turns out. But it’s not necessary. Getting out into nature is tremendously helpful, as well. There’s not much you could do that’s as good for grounding and centering you as being outside, taking a walk, having a picnic, hugging a tree, just sitting still whatever. The one distorts and ungrounds us - the technology - and the other one puts us back together again, and grounds us nature. Pretty nice combo, really. I highly recommend both.
Don’t listen to thoughts, don’t listen to thoughts, don’t listen to thoughts. Just stay in heart. Once you get the ball rolling, get a momentum going on this, heart will remind you when you start to drift. It gets easier, like anything else. Oprah Winfrey did a 10-week class online - the first Webinar, I believe - with Eckhart Tolle. I believe the recordings of that are freely available online. That might be a nice practice - to listen to those recordings over a period of time. That’s many hours. Eckhart Tolle is masterful. His looks are deceptively simple and unimposing, but his radiance is not. You benefit just by being in his presence, like any master, and you can get a large part of that by watching the recordings, or just listening to the audio. This holds true for any master, of course, but there are not so many living ones, or recent ones who have been recorded. You can achieve much of the same benefit by reading their books the radiance is there. It’s not in the words - it’s deeper than that. The words are more like the carrier wave, that enables the radiance to reach you. It keeps you still and gives the mind something to focus on while the real blessing is delivered - silently. If you’re serious about awakening, I’d have a very short list of who I listened to, until I was more solidly awakened. Until you can judge for yourself, clearly, the state of the teacher, then play it safe. You want to take in like this - by giving hours of attention - only the best, the brightest Light. Why take in anything questionable, that you may have to work at eliminating, later when you find out their connection is not to the highest realms, but to something a bit lower? Play it safe. [Be brave later ;)] I like this short list of teachers, plus whoever I’ve mentioned that I’m not remembering now: Nisargadatta, Anthony de Mello, Eckhart Tolle, Mooji, and Gangaji. If you’re really intent on this, really determined and wanting to accelerate, I’d stick with these. There’s plenty out there by them that’s available freely.
Later, once you are more grounded in heart, you can branch out a bit more. I like Alan Watts sometimes, too, but he’s not the master that these others are - a bit too mental, perhaps - I don’t know. I really enjoy Alex Collier for what he brings to us from the Andromedan race. He’s not a master, but they’re truly Light Beings, and he is most sincere, and does the best that he can not to get in the way of their teachings, so his lectures are quite valuable. The later work of David Icke is excellent, too. I don’t recommend his earlier work, as his energy wasn’t as high as it has been for the last several years. It’s wonderful, now. Patricia Cori speaks out for the Sirian High Council, another great group of Light Beings, these from the 6th density. I recommend her work and her lectures, as well. These beings have much to share with us, and they’re a worthy source of information from a much higher perspective - without all of our 3D blocks and limitations we’re working our way through. You may enjoy the website of Gerardus, at soulwise.net. There is much enjoyment and a lot of deep material there for you, too. Gerardus has it pretty well together, plus his humor is just great. Ramana Maharshi is good. I suppose Papaji is, too, since he’s the teacher of both Mooji and Gangaji, and student of Ramana, himself though I haven’t studied his work. That’s enough. You’ll have some of your own, of course. I’m not saying to drop them and change to mine. Just narrow down what you expose yourself to until you’re more solidly grounded in heart - and can maintain that awareness most of the time. Once you do that, your guidance will be flowing from heart, anyway, so you’ll know what to do - who to listen to, who to drop, and so on. There are no guarantees with enlightenment, of course. There is no shopping list of do’s and don’ts that will deliver it to you. Overall, if you expose yourself to the highest truth you can find, and eliminate a lot of questionable or down right not helpful stuff as influences on your vibration, your energy field, you’ll be helping your case.
Will this enlighten you - no, it will not. That comes when it will. Believe it or not, there’s nothing you can do about this. It just is what it is. We’re not working on doing, here, so much as we are on our being. We’re both training the mind to be still while we focus on heart, and gaining facility with centering within - with being still, in the presence of heart. It’s a beingness we’re after, not a doingness. We offer the prayer of our doings, as we walk this path, on the altar of our desire for wholeness - to awaken. But do know that the point you are coming to is one of desirelessness. When fully in heart you have no wants - and you have no questions. You are perfectly content. And while this sounds crazy to mind, that’s okay. Mind doesn’t need to get any of this, anyway - it just can’t, so why bother? There’s something so much higher than mind, my friends, that it puts mind in the shade, and leaves it behind, pulling up the rear. Your mind getting things or not getting things has nothing to do with enlightenment. Did you hear that? Your mind getting things or not getting them has nothing at all to do with
It’s not the mind that’s enlightened - it’s the heart! [that lights up] PS Just hit me that some might like to read the comment, directly, so here’s the link ;) ~~~~~~~~~~
