April 2016 to Present Logistics and Security Advisor Mission East Iraq
Erbil Kurdistan, Iraq
15 Months, Responsible to build the logistics capacity of the Mission
East team as well as acting as Country Security Focal Point.
Responsible to monitor security situation and advise the Country
Director, Duhok and Kirkuk Area Managers regarding security
environment, jointly designed restricted area risk management
system, rewrote the Country Security Management Plan as well as all
Site Security Management Plans, trained and capacity built 2 national
staff security officers.

November 2014 to Aug 2015 – Medair Project Coordinator
Duhok Kurdistan, Iraq
8 months serving as Project Coordinator and Head of Office, Coordinating the 3.0 Million Dollar
efforts of a team of 8 Expats and approximately 45 National Staff delivering WASH, Shelter and
Non Food Items, Primary Health Care for Internally Displaced Persons in Kurdistan and Northern
Ninewah. Donors included USAID OFDA, DFATD, WHO, Medicore, Swiss Solidarity, and Dorcas
Aid International. Our Medair team was leaders in Shelter NFI Coordination and in the use of
the Last Mile Mobile Solutions LMMS system. Strategically position the Medair team in Wana
Wanke Village of Tel Kief District just 20 Km from ISIS held Mosul to be in position to serve IDPs
predicted to flow out of that city when the offensive to liberate Mosul takes place. Served as
the Medair Security Focal Point.

August 2014 – Consultancy with World Relief HQ, Disaster Management Coordinator
Baltimore, Maryland, USA
3 Months, The Disaster Management Coordinator will be the operational and technical
backstop for World Relief and its partners’ Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction
Programming. Hired to:
1. Revise and release World Relief’s Security Risk Management Plan from the International
Safety and Security Policy to Templates and Manuals at the Country level.
2. Create a Disaster Risk Reduction Project Model to be implemented across World Relief’s
program area.
3. Lay the ground work for an Disaster Response Operations Manual

May 2012 to Jun 2014 - National Disaster Mngt. Coordinator, World Vision Thailand,

2 years, To coordinate, manage and implement the most-timely and appropriate response to
humanitarian need in the country in collaboration with National or Thailand’s Regional Disaster
Management Team (N/R DMT), and in consultation with Disaster Management Committee, by
providing leadership, direction and management to all aspects of World Vision’s disaster
management within the framework of World Vision’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Households with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene activities.

May to Sep 2011 - Deputy Country Director, Programmes, Medair Sudan Northern
States Khartoum, Sudan
6 months – Medair’s Sudan Northern States program has closed their West Darfur program and
regional violence in South Kordofan has led to a program pause for an uncertain period of time.
Thus the Country program is scaling down expat staff in Khartoum, and I am thus available for
reassignment at the end of September 2011. Due to dynamic and fluid situation, the duties I
performed were not all in accordance with the original Job description. Mostly involved
response to regional violence and tactical steps for program closure in West Darfur.

Apr to Dec 2010 - Program Director Relief and Recovery; Partner Aid International
Islamabad, Pakistan
9 month assignment, after securing PAI’s first institutional donor funded relief project in
Malakand Division, I was promoted to Program Director for Relief and Recovery. Under my
supervision, PAI secured a following UNICEF project as well as additional flood relief projects in
Charsadda District and Rajanpur District of Southern Punjab. In total, while leading the
Islamabad Relief and Recovery Department, 1,265 Million US Dollars in Grants were awarded,
from donors like USAID/OFDA, UNICEF, and Tear Funk UK. Other accomplishments –
implemented operational procurement systems, trained staff, established and facilitated
financial procedures, acted as office manager and acting Country Director.

2009 - Program Development Manger; Partner Aid International
Islamabad, Pakistan
6 month, at a time when other INGOs were 3-4 months ahead of PAI’s efforts, I came into
Pakistan with only a $5,000 investment and 1 other team member, and led PAI in an effort to
catch up to the leaders who were serving Internally displaced Peoples who had returned to
their homes after clashes between the Pakistan Army and Taliban Militants in Northwestern
Frontier Province’s, Malakand Division. After 6 months of hard work and research PAI was
awarded our first 3 month project in Economic Recovery and Market Systems. From there, the
team was built 2 to over 60 members. PAI was also named the Buner District Education Working
Group Humanitarian Focal Point and would soon go on to be awarded a 6 month UNICEF
Welcome to School Initiative Project. Other accomplishments – implemented operational
procurement systems, trained staff, established and facilitated financial procedures, acted as
office manager and acting Country Director.

2008-09 – Senior Operations Officer; World Concern
Yangon and Laputta, Myanmar
1 year assignment on World Concern’s Nargis Cyclone Relief team. Initially brought over to
oversee the distribution of 10,000 DFID House Hold Kits that had been procured via the
Bangkok Joint Procurement team. I went on to manage a $120,000 local partner’s small grants
program as well as being an operations officer responsible for water safety, coordinated
helicopter transportation, arranged donor visits and other operational tasks. In the absence of
the program Coordinator, I managed the WC Nargis team for 1 month
2008 - Joint Logistics Procurement Officer; World Concern
Bangkok, Thailand
4 Month assignment on Myanmar Nargis Cyclone Relief Joint Procurement Team at World
Concern’s regional office in Bangkok. One of three person team to procure boats, Household
and tool kits through tender process, also oversaw international sending and receiving of sea
and air cargo to and from Thailand.

2007-08 - Logistics Officer; World Concern
Goz Beida, Eastern Chad
6 Month assignment with Disaster Relief Team serving in logistics office as part of a $1.2 million
food and water security program among Chadian Internally Displaced Persons.
- Managed residential cook and cleaner, coordinated movements of personnel and materials,
assisted in ordering and distribution of project materials. Assisted in security and vehicle
maintenance issues, responsible for electrical generators, installed solar panel system, designed
and oversaw construction of storage/generator room. Managed logistics operations and
supervised logistics assistant during absence of Logistics Director (5 weeks total).

2005 - Earthquake Relief Shelter Project Manager, Partner Aid International
Allai Valley Pakistan
Managed Partner Aid International Phase I Pakistan Earthquake Shelter Building Program
- Oversaw 72 volunteers and paid workers in the construction of 330 Winter shelters.
- Coordinated with PAI main office, other NGO’s and Pakistani Army Command units.
