This UK Prepping checklist is intended to give a birds eye view of the very essential items required for comfortable

survival in a
disaster situation whether its a bug in or hunkered down situation.
We will not cover bugging out as this is a completely different survival topic that has specific requirements.
It is also quite specific to the United Kingdom, our needs and requirements, terrain, laws and our culture.
Mainly designed to help the prepping beginner to achieve a good initial knowledge of the prepping world, but seasoned preppers
may well find the odd bit of information helpful we hope you do.

So whats the hurry..?
If youve found the UK Preppers Guide website and now downloaded this Preppers Guide then you must have a
liWle interest in keeping yourself and your family alive true.?
There's a lot of things that can very easily go wrong in the world today some things more than others. Of course a
lot depends on where you live as to how high up you rate these poten4al disasters. But the name of the
game is being prepared.
There is no way you can aord to just go out and buy all the necessary prepping equipment and supplies to keep
you safe and fully prepared for any disaster. Fortunately a lot of the possible natural disasters have
prac4cally zero chance of happening in the UK anyway.!
But there is an urgency for most preppers to get the minimum of supplies and survival equipment for the rst thirty
days and then build on that base before running they start to run on empty..

Try this simple test:

Take a look in your kitchen cupboards how much food supplies do you have & how long would they last.?
Take a look in your bathroom how long will the shampoo, toothpaste or toilet rolls last.?

Now ask yourself do you shop weekly or even daily some4mes essen4als like bread and milk have a very
short lifespan.

You may even be someone who has take away meals most of the week.! It wouldnt take very long for your
whole food supply to be consumed.

In the UK today all the big and small shops work on a last minute delivery system, carrying less and less stock to maximize eciency it
wouldnt take ve minutes for the shelves to be stripped bear and in a disaster scenario there would be no deliveries, so no restocking of food
supplies no nothing..!
We all know what us Bri4sh are like with even the slightest men4on of the word food shortage . In the morning the shelves are full and an hour
later, completely empty.
We are like Ninja Shopper and if there is anything leh its handbags at six paces and may the best man win..!!!
What's the essen9als

based on hunkering down in your own home

Water 1 gallon per person per day [minimum] this is for safe drinking water, washing, cooking and sanita4on
Food keep to what you like to eat but concentrate on the non-perishable food types with a good shelf life
Personal products for keeping clean as well as personal hygiene products
Addi4onal means of cooking other than your normal stove
Addi4onal methods for power, ligh4ng and hea4ng
Emergency rst aid equipment and supplies
Tools, maintenance & survival equipment
Communica4on and informa4on
General addi4onal supplies
Defense & safety

This is the general order of prepping supplies that you should be aiming for when star4ng to prep. Its virtually impossible to get everything at
once, so a controlled slow build up is the normal way for most UK Preppers. Although all items are important - some are more so than others.

W h a t i f I m n o t t h e r o u g h , t o u g h t y p e

I cant do all this stu
Sure you can.
Sure, it might seem daun4ng at rst but you can do all this stu many others are.
* If you cant cook then learn to cook as simple as that. Nothing fancy, just basic stu. Youll be surprised just
how easy it is.
* Prac4ce survival cooking using dierent cooking methods. [open re, camping stove etc]
* Worried about the cost then dont be just work on prepping one step at a 4me make use of supermarket
special deals and Bogof oers they all add up. Whatever you normally eat and thus would normally buy, just
add the extra can or so as and when you can aord it it really does add up fast.
* Its also a good opportunity to do some stock taking and do some de cluWering of your home and you will soon
nd you have spare space to begin your stock of extra food and supplies.
Dont let anyone tell you its not possible all preppers face a type of hos4lity towards the ideal of prepping for disaster survival be focused
and have a plan.

When it comes to de cluWering this can have a great advantage to us preppers as it gives us a leg up to
star4ng prepping in two big ways

1. You clear out the old unwanted stu and make good storage space
2. The unwanted stu can be sold whatever it is someone will buy it so extra funds are available
3. With those extra funds you can start stocking up straight away.
Does all this seem a liDle overwhelming well dont panic its not..
The secret to good prepping is planning one step at a 4me

1. Make a plan
2. Ensure every family member knows what to do in an emergency
3. Train yourself in as many essen4al skill as possible
4. Follow the essen4al items list and begin to buy addi4onal food, supplies and equipment
5. Dont buy goods just because their cheap or on oer always make sure everything you buy is required
6. Buy one or two extra food items for your stock each week keep to what you know and use
7. But one or twp extra hygiene and sanita4on items each week
8. Buy addi4onal water as regularly as possible
9. Start to purchase survival equipment camping stove, sleeping bags, ligh4ng etc
10. Put together an emergency rst aid kit and add addi4onal, specic medica4on that you may require
11. Dont get overwhelmed with bugging out

Now you will have food, water and sanita9on supplies for 30 days by just taking a few easy prepping steps

Once you are at this stage you can move onto more larger scale disaster planning for any possible long term situa4on. Always remember the
essen4als of survival Shelter. Water. Fire. Food..
Keep to your plan and keep quiet about it.
