ENGR. AQUILINO A. TUBIGAN, JR.

MOST OUTSTANDING ACHIEVER AND INVENTOR IN THE FIELD OF


ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING

Engr. Aquilino A. Tubigan, Jr. holds an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor
of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering both from FEATI University.

He also received a full scholarship grant in 2001 to the College of Law at Pamantasan ng Lungsod
ng Maynila (units). He also holds various vocational and trade skills certificates.

Using his knowledge, expertise and innovative thinking in electronics and communications
technology, Engr. Tubigan would make his mark not only here but in the international scene.

In 2008, Engr. Tubigan won the GOLD MEDAL for his invention called i-charj at the INPEX
(Inventors New Product & Exposition) held at Pennsylvania, USA in the telecommunications
category. Presently, Engr. Tubigan is the proprietor/inventor of XCELLCOMMS since 2006.
Tubigan, a Filipino Inventors Society member, bagged top honors for his invention, I-charj, a
coin-operated cell phone charger recognized for its excellence in telecommunications and
compatibility with leading mobile phone brands including Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Siemens,
as well as iPods and PSPs.

Tubigans invention, the judges pointed out, is very much attuned with the needs of the times, a
vital gadget especially for people on the go that can be operated in vital public places such as
airports, sea ports, shopping malls, hotels and gasoline stations.

I-Charj Is a mobile gadget charging station which has now become a common service to
different establishments, malls, convenience stores and other places where number of people
converge. Our product provides value added service to customers as well as added revenue to
establishments and stores. Our product which is a Filipino mode electronic machine gadget had
been showcased in international exhibit INPEX (Inventions and New Product Exposition) in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania U.S.A. and have won the Gold Medal Award in the Telecommunications
Category, which recognizes the Innovation and Excellence of the product held lost June 11-14,
2008.

The Machine utility model is recognized by the Intellectual Property Office and Filipino Inventors
Society.

This device provides on indoor public charger that is coin operated. The product when suitably
placed on densely populated areas such as shopping malls, bus terminals, hotels, restaurants,
fast-food chains, MRT/LRT stations, hospitals, schools, seaport and airports, provide instant
access to cellphone charging in public places for a minimum cost of P5.00 which is equivalent to
a 10 mins. Osaka time. This gives on assurance that those important calls/text messages would
not be missed.
