THE LEAGUE OF UNITED LATIN AMERICAN CITIZENS

Presents

A Resolution of Appreciation for Mr. Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD.

WHEREAS, 88 years ago, the founders of the League of Latin American

Citizens, (LULAC) joined together to establish an organization that would
become the largest, oldest and most successful Hispanic civil rights and service
organization in the United States, and

WHEREAS, LULAC strongly supports an increase in the nations stock of

affordable housing, particularly championing an increase in resources to build,
rehabilitate and preserve housing for low and extremely low income households
in both the rental and purchase markets, and

WHEREAS, Latino households see homeownership as a critical part of

achieving the American Dream, and

WHEREAS, Homeownership is essential to a familys ability to accumulate

assets and save for retirement, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. has helped preserve the
Hispanic Community of West Dallas and set a National example for the
development of mixed income, culturally diverse communities, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. recognizes that

homeownership is essential for the preservation and stability of Hispanic
Communities across the United States, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. has made over 100 of his
predominantly Latino tenants into first time homeowners, and
 WHEREAS, Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. has constantly valued and
shown appreciation for North Texas LULAC and its contributions made to the
resolution of a housing crisis in West Dallas, and

WHEREAS, Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. has shown to be generous with

his assets by supporting many of the efforts of North Texas LULAC District III,
donating to the LULAC National Educational Service Centers Scholarship Fund,
and sponsoring the printing of LULACs 2017-2018 Civil Rights Manual, and

WHEREAS, Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. was made an outstanding and

honorable member of LULAC Council 4782 on the 27th of May, 2017. Now,

Therefore be it resolved that North Texas LULAC District III publically recognizes
and thanks Mr. Khraish H. Khraish of HMK, LTD. for his efforts and dedication to
helping the most vulnerable of Latino and African American families become first
time homeowners and for his continued support of LULAC.
