MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Successfully carried out capacity assessment in Rwanda in Ministry of Finance (as part of a larger team). I trained
and facilitated team activities through the following processes : Problem identification, Work planning and
Monitoring and Evaluation
Similarly facilitated teams in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the Office of the President in Liberia. My
recommendations helped to jump start major organizational change efforts. It was also along my
recommendations that a road map for the same was formulated. Further during my mission in Liberia, Specifically I:
o Trained staff and facilitated workshops to deepen Results Based Management and sharpen management
skills
o Introduced a culture of customer centricity
o Effectively implemented Rapid Results Initiatives after intensive interaction with Ministrys Leadership.
During sessions I assisted leadership to clarify challenge areas and agree on interventions within
specific time frames and budgets
o Created teams and facilitated the crafting of realistic and challenging goals and development of work
plans
o Coached teams during the implementation of the three month work plans
o Assisted teams to develop indicators and relevant monitoring and evaluation tools
o Built capacity of leadership and reform champions to identify and develop and scale up areas in order to
sustain momentum within the ministry
o Identified and trained Reforms Coaches/Champions to run with the program as an exit strategy
Successfully built the capacity of over 5,000 public servants and facilitated over 200 Rapid Results Initiative teams in
Kenyan Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies and Local Authorities, to achieve targeted results. Many
of these teams came up with innovations that re engineered systems within their institutions that ensure
sustainably better services to the public.
Developed and built strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels in government and in the private and public
sector, which led to improved and sustainable cooperation, through well thought out team membership in all
initiatives so far launched and completed.
Advised on crucial planning applications and worked with numerous ministerial teams to develop sound strategic
plans, long term and short term targets.
Developed institutional self assessment tools and various tried and tested monitoring and evaluation tools for use by
various teams
Developed and launched a successful national complaints handling system in the banking sector

Faith Based Organizations leadership teams in strategic planning, work planning and implementation and
monitoring and evaluation of projects.

Assisted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to optimize its performance in the delivery of services against its
stated mandate by;
Putting in place a process for major organizational change in the National Archives and Printing Unit;
Initiating the Ministrys efforts in delivering results through the adoption of Results-Based Management and
Rapid Results Initiatives
Establishing structured teams to implement RRI in the restoration of the National Archives and Printing
Unit;
Engendering a culture of continuous learning and create an environment that encourages pro-activity and
initiative taking;
Identifying other RRI initiatives within MoFA;
Laying the ground for the introduction of the broader institutionalization of Results Based Management and
RRI in service delivery. .
Jan 2004 to Dec 2012 - Reforms Consultant Kenya Government Rapid Results Initiative Expert and Results Based
Management Coach Public Service Transformation Department - Office of the Prime Minister
Composed and facilitated Ministerial, Local Authority and Parastatal Leadership Teams to carry out institutional
capacity assessments, clarify vision and mandate, identify key challenge areas and develop long, medium and
short term implementation plans tailored to address these challenges and then set up teams to deliver those
goals.
Built the capacity of members to apply Rapid Results Approach and facilitated RRI (Rapid Results Initiative)
teams to craft SMART goals, develop and implement work plans, and monitor such plans so as to achieve
positive, sustainable results all in line with Kenya Vision 2030 and related National goals and priorities and also
Millennium Development Goals
