Dear Hiring Manager,

I am very interested in the work undertaken by the Secours Islamique France, and this is for me a
unique opportunity to contribute to it. I want to put my skills at the service of an organization
defending the values I stand for.

As Mental Health and Care Practices Head of Department, I coordinate the MHCP projects in Nepal. I
supervise program teams, design needs assessments, draft projects and establish monitoring and
evaluation systems. I assess the trainings needs of ACF and partner teams through regular field visits
and plan capacity building accordingly. I developed the MHCP country strategy and re-instituted a
national MHPSS working group with all major national and international stakeholders working in this
field.

My previous experiences as a clinical psychologist, trained in transcultural psychology and
posttraumatic stress, consisted not only in the psychological support of beneficiaries, but also in
providing training, technical support and supervision to social workers and health teams. These
experiences will be of great value for the work with the SIF teams and partners.

After several years of work as a psychologist, I decided to complete my expertise with a Master’s
degree in Project Management in international cooperation. I joined the UN Peacekeeping mission in
Côte d’Ivoire as a staff counselor, responsible for the psychosocial prevention and support of UN
national and international staff, police and military. I was also in charge of training and supervising
our national network of “peer helpers”. I had previously worked in a post-conflict context in
Guatemala, and with internally displaced women in Colombia. In France, as a clinical psychologist in
child protection in the Seine Saint Denis department; I often worked with unaccompanied minors
escaping from conflict zones. In the UN peacekeeping mission, my project management and training
skills did not stay unnoticed and I was soon offered a position as « Capacity development and Project
officer » for the UNV programme in Côte d’Ivoire.

I work with different stakeholders including civil society organisations, UN Agencies, and the
government; representing my organization, handling competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
I would love to use the competencies I have developed to support SIF’s activities.

My colleagues and supervisors describe me as a proactive and enthusiastic person, who doesn't
hesitate to bring innovative ideas and find solutions to problems that might emerge. Teamwork is
essential to me, and I particularly appreciate working with people from different cultural backgrounds.

I would value the opportunity to learn more about your programmes and share how I could meet the
needs of your organization. Thank you for taking the time to consider this application and I look
forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Best regards,

Isabelle Rampa
