Urban area is an area who has relatively high population density and have a fairly high
social activity. The human movement over the past few decades leads to urbanization due to
the relatively larger economic potential of urban areas. No wonder if by 2050, 70% of the
world's population predicted will live in urban areas that caused urban areas to become the
basis of human activities. However, nowdays, cities in the world are faced with extreme
weather problems and natural disasters that occured due to climate change. Recorded, in the
last 10 years, urban areas in the world hit by floods 3455 times and 2689 times by storms that
caused losses of 1.7 trillion USD per year. Therefore, every urban area in the world have to
build an adaptive infrastructure with all the changes that have occurred on this earth.
Development of city that have a resilience to disaster or changes in demographical structure
can be called Resilient City concept.

Resilient city is an urban concept that can support community activities in spite of hit
by natural disasters and demographic structure changes. The concept of resilient city
development itself has a framework consisting of several aspects, one of them is development
of infrastructure and transportation systems that can provide mobility from a community. It is
necessary to be concerned, because the economic activity of an urban area occurs due to high
population mobility flow. Thus, if the mobility of the urban population is disrupted, all the
activities of the community will be hampered which will eventually result in losses in all
aspects of life. Therefore, the development of resilient urban transportation systems and
infrastructure is one of the things that needs to be studied further.

On the basis of this background. creating a transportation base that is resistant to disaster threats and adaptive to population growth will lead to increased economic activity in urban areas that leads to the welfare of its own people. Thus. students from all over Indonesia can write innovative ideas in creating urban transportation in order to encourage the implementation of resilient city. From the major themes raised. Development of infrastructure and urban transport systems in Indonesia has not led to the development of resilient city. Call for Inovation The 15th CENS UI has a major theme "Creating Resilient City Through Sustainable Urban Transportation". TOPICS  The topic of the 15th CENS UI Call for Innovation is “Creating Resilient City Through Sustainable Transportation”. this things is getting worse by the poor mass urban transport facilities causing people prefer to use private transportation rather than mass transportation. so the urban transport systems and infrastructure is not ready for all possible disasters that can happen in the future.  Participants can choose one subtopic or combine more than one of these subtopics given below:  Infrastructure : o Railway-based transportation technology o Roadway innovation to realize Resilient City o Designing low disaster impact on Transportation Infrastructure  Transportation System: o Utilizing resilient multi-modal transportation on urban areas o Transportation system planning to support Resilient City o ICT usage on transportation system o Designing high-mobility transportation system .
