Social Networking Sites for Our Society

I think Social network is bad for people because it is waste of time, but will social

networking sites really improve the quality of people's lives?

For example for teenagers they spend a lot of time in social Medias. Kids now days they dont

do more actives such as playing outside, drawing playing sports and a lot of other activities. But

since we living in 20 centurys nobody wants to do fun stuff anymore .But Children spend a lot

of time using social media such as Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram, they dont do their

homework teenagers may endanger themselves by not understanding the public and viral nature

of social networking sites. Because they put their personal stuff in social media once is there

anybody can take your pictures and use them as theres or other thing is that they put your face in

some naked person that is not you and you will get in trouble for that. Social media is the place

that has a lot of bullys students reported being the victims of bullying online some people

commit suicide because of it. Adults can also be victims of cyberbullying, from social, familial,

or workplace aggression being displayed on social media. And most of the fight begins in social

media such as having a photo on Facebook and people comment on your photo that they calling

you fat or some horrible stuff, which makes you delete that photo.
Cyber-bullying

The immediacy provided by social media is available to predators as well as friends. Kids

especially are vulnerable to the practice of cyber-bullying in which the perpetrators,

anonymously or even posing as people their victims trust, terrorize individuals in front of their

peers. The devastation of these online attacks can leave deep mental scars. In several well-

publicized cases, victims have even been driven to suicide. The anonymity afforded online can

bring out dark impulses that might otherwise be suppressed. Cyber-bullying has spread widely

among youth, with 42% reporting that they have been victims, according to a 2010 CBS News

report. (Jung pg. 45-46)

Social networking sites encourage people to be more public about their personal lives.

Because intimate details of our lives can be posted so easily, users are likely to bypass the filters

they might normally employ when talking about their private lives. What's more, the things they

post remain available indefinitely. While at one moment a photo of friends doing shots at a party

may seem harmless, the image may appear less attractive in the context of an employer doing a

background check. While most sites allow their users to control who sees the things they've

posted, such limitations are often forgotten, can be difficult to control or don't work as well as

advertised. But some people they dont care who sees their picture, they dont even have work

why will they be scared putting their picture in social media.

Criminals use social media to commit and promote crimes. Such as Gangs use the sites to recruit

younger members, coordinate violent crimes, and threaten other gangs, Offline crime, like home

robberies, may posting personal information such as vacation plans or stalkers gaining

information about a victims whereabouts from posts, photos, or location tagging service
 Social network is the place where we find bad people for example ISIS nobody knew

them or heard them before but when they start using social media and posting videos about them

killing people, and people start watching their videos and when ISIS see how much views they

have, and how popular they became they start to threat people and send bad videos to the world

and it goes viral. And others can just uses there computer and touch one button and one state can

be dust just like that ,you dont have to go to that state and fight with them .is bad because you

dont know when is coming or how many people can die nobody can prepare .

Social media is the place where we find talented people and where we watch movies. But again

social media have dirty movies and violences video it should be money watching dirty videos

like children cant see it at all. Some people become famous having a lot of dirty videos and

other people get divorce over their spouse watching the dirty videos and it not good at all. On the

other hand lonely people who are not married it good for them to watch it.

Social networking enables cheating on school assignments. Whats the reason we have

school? is it to learned and do our home works but having social media you have the all the

answers before the teacher give it to you and as well as test, and student who yet not taking the

SAT or big test like that can go online and check all the answers .theres a people who you dont

even know but still you guys meet on social media can give to all the answers. But is good you

can pass the class and go higher classes. Still you will not learned anything from it, in life you

will not do good. (JMR pg. 21-23)

Social media affects our Mental Health because we use our phone all the time we dont want to

be alone and we want friends and there's always a friend around...online! And when we see real

people we dont know how to talk we act like this is not real world. But we dont want to waste

people time by talking to them in real life, yet we did not had social media at the time when our
ancestors we life and they had good time buy talking to each other and meeting new people. And

with our phone we wont do anything at all. Everyone in this world has phone or anything that

have to do with technology thats how people community, if some of the family lives across the

world we call them and we videos chat them. Stead of going to their country it saves a lot of

money. Yet is good because we have work here and we cant go see them its better to uses

social media then going other country , no because we need to see our family who lives other

country and meet them sometimes its good to their faces more often .

Leads to Addiction Many studies have shown that the extensive use of social media can actually

cause addiction to the users. Throughout their day, they feel to post something on their pages or

check others posts as it has become an important part of our life. (Ali) You see your friends post

them Spokane marijuana or they can introduce new people who they just add in Facebook and

all the kids wants to do what other people are doing social media is harm place for everyone.

I think that the effects of social media have been somewhat balanced, to be honest. There are

many good things about it, and many bad things. In the end, if you can keep your own life

centered in reality and use social networking as a small way of it, you should be just fine.

media at all until you know how to use properly and for those who had enough of social media

might want to

Take a break and turn off the computer and go for a bit of a walk and enjoy your life it wont last

forever.
