Cast Away – Gameplay Lead / March 2010 – July 2010
Technical Designer
 13 person student game (7 programmers, 4 artists, 2 producers)
working 5 months on a Real-Time 3D Artillery game.
 Spearheaded the design process and ensured that the vision of the
game was maintained throughout the development cycle.
 Acted as a liaison between artists and producers to ensure the content
pipeline requirements were adhered to, allowing for assets to be quickly
tested.
 Redesigned existing systems to accommodate for a multiplayer
environment.
 Managed the creation, lifetime, removal and behavior of all game
objects.
 Synched animations to object actions and reactions through the use of
state machines and triggers.
 Optimized the code base to increase performance in sections of code
that were flagged as hot spots using Intel Parallel Studio.
 Implemented a level of detail system to help with frame rate issues.

 3 person student game working 2 months on a matter manipulation 2D
platformer.
 Created the rendering engine and shaders using DirectX.
 Designed the second level’s layout and puzzles.
 Developed a 2D particle engine and C# tool.
 Encapsulate XInput functionality inside of a wrapper to allow the use of
XBOX 360 controllers.
 Handled all game input using DirectInput and XInput.
