Stable Isotope Data - using combined oxygen and carbon isotopes studies of carbonates (δ18O vs.

δ13C plots)

Carbonatites are mainly composed of carbonates. A combined study of carbon and oxygen isotopes in
carbonates is a powerful means of distinguishing between carbonates of different origins (Rollinson
,1993). Roopnarain (2013) used the combined oxygen and carbon isotopes approach to analyze whether
the carbonatites in the Alno Complex in Sweden are of Primary origin or of Secondary origin, and she
found out that most of her data plots in the primary origin area in the graph. To summarize what are the
