Cost benefit analysis of training program, hiring an external

trainers
Cost Benefit Analysis:-
Cost Benefit Analysis or CBA is a relatively simple and widely used technique
for deciding whether to make a change. As its name suggests, you simply add
up the value of the benefits of a course of action, and subtract the costs
associated with it.
Costs are either one-off, or may be ongoing. Benefits are most often received
over time. We build this effect of time into our analysis by calculating a
payback period. This is the time it takes for the benefits of a change to repay
its costs

SOFT SKILLS
Team Building

Few people work alone in today’s work environment. We all depend on others
to get our work done. We are part of teams, work groups, ad-hoc committees,
task forces, crews, etc. Collectively, we generate ideas, manufacture products,
provide services, sell goods and much more. Our ideas and efforts combined
with the ideas and efforts of others result in performance excellence and high
quality products and services.

Team Building for Success provides the necessary tools to prepare any team
for results oriented performance. The participants go through a series of
exercises exploring and learning:
 Behavioral styles
 Interpersonal communication/listening skills
 Conflict management
 Giving and receiving feedback
 Building trust
 Delegating
 Planning: resources and time
 Risk taking
 Problem solving
 And getting to know each other better in a safe environment.

GRBS 15

Communication Skills

All Businesses talk about needing better communication skills, but often don't
know exactly what that means or they don't know how to go about making it
happen.

And without doubt, unless you are a company of one, at some point or
another, communication will go awry through no one's fault or intention - it's
just the way it happens.

You might have pockets of 'them and us': marketing vs finance, IT vs admin, HR
vs operations, consultants vs full time staff. You might have cross-functional or
virtual teams whose ability to communicate efficiently is vital.

If your business has groups of people who simply have to communicate more
effectively then giving them communication training may be just what you
need.

Communication Skills Training Objectives

 Raising Awareness
 Understanding Communication Dynamics
 Working with Body Language
 Dealing with Assumptions
 Working with Differing Points of View
 Understanding Patterns, Habits and Beliefs
 Developing Listening and Responding Skills
 Developing Individual Strengths and Qualities
 Understanding Active vs Passive Choosing
 Using Positive Reinforcement

GRBS 16

different mind sets come together for achieving same goals. So ideas clash and
personal goals also comes into picture.

Conflict Management Training objective:

 The Purpose of Conflict
 Getting to the Heart of the Problem
 Dealing with Uncomfortable Feelings
 Defining a Difficult Person
 Using Honesty and Agreement
 Turning Arguments into Discussions
 Defusing Blame
 Creating Win-Win: Achieving Resolution

Presentations skills

GRBS 17
Raymond

Presentations skills and public speaking skills are very useful in many aspects of
work and life. Effective presentations and public speaking skills are important
in business, sales and selling, training, teaching, lecturing and generally
entertaining an audience. Developing the confidence and capability to give
good presentations, and to stand up in front of an audience and speak well, are
also extremely helpful competencies for self-development too. Presentations
and public speaking skills are not limited to certain special people - anyone can
give a good presentation, or perform public speaking to a professional and
impressive standard. Like most things, it simply takes a little preparation and
practice.
The formats and purposes of presentations can be very different, for example:
oral (spoken), multimedia (using various media - visuals, audio, etc),
powerpoint presentations, short impromptu presentations, long planned
presentations, educational or training sessions, lectures, and simply giving a
talk on a subject to a group on a voluntary basis for pleasure. Even speeches at
weddings and eulogies at funerals are types of presentations. They are
certainly a type of public speaking, and are no less stressful to some people for
being out of a work situation.
Yet every successful presentation uses broadly the essential techniques and
structures explained here.
Presentation Course Objectives:
 Exploring how presentation works
 Developing a unique individual style
 Understanding what happens in front of an audience
 Practicing a whole range of techniques
 Hints and tips for effective presentation
 Stretching your capacity to present
 Presenting with style, flair and presence

FINDINGS

GRBS 23
Raymond
I as a summer internship trainee was chosen a project to prepare on cost
benefit analysis of in-house training program. Training program is conducted
by hiring outside consultants to make training effectual. Total investment in
training program is Rs. 1,222,760 and total benefit reap is Rs. 1455000.
Therefore, total investment in the training can be recovered within 10 months.

Recommendation:-
 There is should be continuous training program for communication skill.

 Majority of investment should be made for training of communication

skill.

 Appropriate investment should be made at right place so it can reap

maximum benefit.

Conclusion:-
Form the above research following conclusion has been
drawn:-
 SWOT of inhouse training was done, which has revealed that inhouse
training was not effective.

 There is need to fetch an outhouse faculty for the training as inhouse

training faculty was not viable.

 Training was given on soft skill & behavirol skill, technical skill and safety
and environment.

 So, the cost of entire training schedule was set to get a clear picture of
training.
