Advertising in The Eyeopener is cost-effective. Your ad appears
in 10,000 copies of the paper, and research has shown that those
copies are shared and passed on to an additional three to four stu-
dents. So your ad just tripled or quadrupled the number of people
who have seen it, all for one price.

We print a paper every Tuesday night in the Fall and Winter terms,
and we put it online at theeyeopener.com, where over 40,000
unique visitors see it each and every week. Viewers can read the
paper online or download a copy to read later, meaning your ad
is seen by them. And of course we can put your ad right onto our
website too. With over 40,000 visitors and over 80,000 pageviews
a month, your ad will pay for itself pretty quickly.

What you should know when you book your ad...

Your ad MUST be booked by noon Thursday for the following week’s printing. Any changes to your
ad (size, colour, layout etc.) after your space has been booked will result in extra costs for you and must be
approved by the Advertising Manager. Missed deadlines will result in the full price being charged.

Your ad MUST be print-ready when we receive it. All transparencies must be flattened, all colours
must be set CMYK or Greyscale and must be of sufficient resolution – minimum 200 dpi. We are not
responsible for any errors in your submitted artwork.

We can only accept print ads in .pdf and .eps formats. All others will be returned to you for conversion and
may result in your ad not running. Converting your file for you will result in extra costs for you.

Please ensure that your ad will fit the space you’ve booked, both width and height. If we have to resize
your ad it will result in extra costs for you.

Spot colour is $150 per colour, full colour is $250, and booking a specific page/position is an additional 20%
of the ad price.

Please make all cheques payable to Rye Eye Publishing Inc. and remember that all prices are subject to 13%
HST. Ad rates are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to reject any ad at any time prior
to publication.
