Experience

Volunteer Winter - Spring 2017

For the Tanzania School Foundation, I volunteered and lived in East Africa for about 6 weeks, building a primary school
outside of Arusha, interpreting Swahili for workers, and consulting on the building project and other complicated matters.

taught three 7th and 8th grade classes, as well as a 1:1 Latin class for a high school student.

Independent Massachusetts Senate Candidate April - November 2016

I ran a political campaign for State Senate in the Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth district in Massachusetts, receiving 19,811
votes, 26% of the vote total, although I was outspent over 100:1. I coordinated volunteers, built a website, participated in
campaign forums, conducted voter outreach, signature collection, and all other duties of a candidate or campaign manager.

Long-Term Latin Teacher Autumn 2015 - Winter 2016

As a teacher at Needham High School was out on maternity leave, I maintained continuity and took over for her 5 Latin

Long-Term Latin & English Substitute Teacher Summer 2014 - Summer 2015
While the existing Latin teacher was out for several months on sick leave, I taught her 5 Latin classes, from levels 1-4,
designing lesson plans and assessments, supervising students, running the local NJCL branch, and performing the other
duties of a teacher at Greenwich High School. When this teacher returned from sick leave in December, I became a
substitute teacher in the English department or worked in the learning center.

Residence Assistant at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Summer 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017
At an overnight summer camp for gifted middle-high school students, I supervised adolescents, designed activities, and
cooperated with staff to ensure the safety and entertainment of many children.
