Running Performance
After you have set up your application, selected a compressor frame, and configured your cylinders, you
can then use the Ariel 7.X program in several ways to get performance information. By using the buttons
located at the top of the main page screen (as below) you can select the following options:

Back/Continue - (keyboard shortcut Page Up/Page Down) these buttons are used to move between the
various input screens (General Data, Service/Stage Data, Frame/Cylinder Data).

Performance - (keyboard shortcut: Alt + P) this option will run a single performance point based on the
application data from the "Service/Stage Data" screen and the configured compressor. Refer to the
"Performance Output" topic for more information. Note that along with the compressor performance data,
you will also have access to PV cards, PT graphs, weights and couples summary (including reversal
information), and general compressor information, when using this option.

Adjusted Run - (keyboard shortcut: Alt + A) this option will run a single adjusted performance point based
on user specified options. The run will use the application data from the "Service/Stage Data" screen and
the configured compressor with preset limits on either power or flow as configured in the "Adjusted Runs"
screen.

MultiRuns - (keyboard shortcut: Alt + M) this option allows the user to run and graph multiple performance
points. The runs will be based on the application data from the "Service/Stage Data" screen and the
configured compressor with varying application conditions and/or unloading data as configured in the
"MultiRuns" screen.

Quote - this option allows the user to run a scope of supply for the compressor selection. If the user has

pricing rights, the quote can also show pricing for the compressor selection.

Project Report - this option provides much of the pertinent data to a Project Engineering during the design
phase of the compressor skid.

Check Run - This button performs a logic review of the selection for flags that may impact ordering the
unit. This does perform a check on the performance or set of cases.

Configuration - This opens the Configuration Manager (Package Manager and Case Manager). F5 will also
open the Configuration Manager.

Automation Interface - The Ariel 7.X Performance Program does support Automation Interface. Please
contact Ariel's Engineering Technical Solutions (ETS) group for information.
