Effect of solvent in extraction of rubber seeds
Worked on isolation of oil from Hevea brasiliensis seeds.
Studied on the extraction of oils from Hevea brasiliensis seed and the effect of different
solvent in different concentration upon the whole extraction process.
Worked on sample analyzing techniques using Gas Chromatography Spectrometer.

WORKING EXPERIENCE

Project & Service Engineer at Lipochem (M) SDN BHD(3rd December 2012 to 2016)

1. Supply clients with P&ID and high pressure piping 3D diagram for palm oil refineries

2. Review P&ID and make improvements or corrections to the P&ID before handing it over
to the client

3. Purchasing instruments, vessels, equipment and piping based on the P&ID for the project

4. Monitoring the shipment, delivery and overall progress of the project

5. Commissioning the plant and fine tune the plant until the product with the properties as
stated in the contract obtained

List of Project that I have involved in :

1) 350 Mt/day Kernal Oil Refinery Plant in Premium Vegetable Oil SDN BHD

The project needed us to supply the customer with pressure vessels (exp: Deodorizer
and flash vessel), day tanks, equipments (heat exchanger, polishing filters and pressure
leaf filters), valves, instruments (level switch, level transmitter, flow transmitter and
RTD), vacuum system and the PLC system for the plant.

After the items have been delivered at site me and my supervisor instructed the
installation of the plant and after the installation we commissioned the plant so it could
run its full capacity of 350 Mt\hr
.
2) 200 Mt\day Kernal Oil Refinery Plant in Premium Vegetable Oil SDN BHD

This project is an upgrading project to the already existing refinery plant. So I was need
to supply several new vessels such as bleacher and bleached oil tank, new heat
recovery system such as oil to oil heat exchangers to improve the heat recovery in the
plant and one lot of new mass and level measuring instruments to improve the
performance of the plant.

The plant was successfully commissioned by the end of month May 2013 and running
production till now.

3) 5 Mt\hr Palm Oil Refinary Plant in IOI Croklaan Pasir Gudang

The customer requested us to supply a new deodorizer and fatty acid scrubber and
several units of pumps and heat exchangers as a part of their new batch palm oil
deodorization plant.

This plant has been successfully commissioned

4) Teikoku Sealess Canned Pump trouble shooting at Pt Steelindo Wahana Perkasa at
Tanjung Pandan Indonesia

Me and my pump support team of two was instructed to trouble shoot the problem why the
Teikoku Sealess Canned Pump would not start although it has been serviced and certified
working at the Teikoku head office at Jakarta.

After one whole day of inspection me and my team was able to locate its problem which was
electrical malfunction and rectified it in a short amount of time which enabled the production
staff to able to run their production.

5) 50 Kg Batch Hydrogenation Pilot Plant and 50 Kg Batch IE & Bleaching Pilot Plant in
Premium Vegetable Oil SDN BHD

I was tasked to supply 50 KG batch hydrogenation and 50 KG batch IE & Bleaching Pilot
Plant for the R&D centre in Premium Vegetable Oil SDN BHD. These pilot plants are used
to do trial runs for their new products an also used in optimizing their current process in their
plants.

The hydrogenation pilot plant has been successfully commissioned and has been handed
over to the customer. The 50 kg batch IE & Bleaching Pilot Plant is still under
commissioning process and will be handed over to the customer.

6) 212 MT/day Physical Refinery and Biodiesel Plant for AVM Industrias S.A. at San Carlos,
Colombia

We have supplied a physical refinery plant and biodiesel plant to AVM Industrias in
Colombia. This project is still in its construction phase.

I made a trip to San Carlos Colombia to assist the customer to check the shipment of
tanks, equipment, instruments, pipings and fittings at site in San Carlos.

I also assist the customer to place the major equipment and tanks on its plinth with the
correct orientation and positioning.

7) 25 MT/day Glycerol Pretreatment Plant for Carotino SDN BHD at Pasir Gudang
I was part of the team which did the installation and commissioning of the glycerol pretreatment
section which separates the acid oil from glycerol via acid splitting.

Process Engineer at MSM Sugar Refinery (Johor) Sdn Bhd (1st February 2017 to present)

1) Assist process manager/ asst. process manager in the administration and performance of the process
department.

2) Able to provide technical advice and guidance to superintendents in process trouble shooting and plant
operation.

3) Assist process manager/ asst. process manager to coordinate with the head of project department to carry out
projects as and when required.

4) Able to plan schedule and organize SHE activities to ensure plant activities are performed in safe manner
and abide to the quality and environment policy.
5) Responsible for planning and identifying process change, equipment and fixture for new project or process
to maximize utilization of machinery capability, quality and productivity improvement plan.

6) Liaise and coordinate with other stations on major maintenance and amendment works to be carried out.

7) Responsible to monitor process quality control.

8) Assist process manager/ asst. process manager to coordinate with packing and logistics and inventory
personnel on sugar requirement.

9) Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System), ISO
22000:2005 (Food safety management system), ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009 (Food Safety System Certification),
OHSAS 18001:2007 & MS1722:2011 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), HALAL,
KOSHER, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and other compulsory certificates.

10) Manage non-conformance material in the plant and implement corrective action measures to prevent
reoccurrence.

11) Perform statistical process control (SPC) and capabilities analysis.

12) To improve process capability and meeting all the requirements.

13) Must be able to create and implement standard operating procedure (SOP) and analysis report.

14) Study specific machinery problems, design and implement solution.

15) Assist in special investigation and findings for the improvement in operation.

16) Able to perform any other duties as required and assigned by the management.
