Conclusions
The Region of Murcia is a natural lab for climatic change. Their particular
climates can serve for understanding a little bit more the behaviour of sweet
cherry cultivars because their particular and multiples environmental
conditions:
Soils (limy soils, heavy or stony most often)
Climat (low rain irregularly distributed, summer dryness, low chill
often)
Poor irrigation water quality and availability often.
Better control of diseases than in rainy climates
Bigger pests incidence than in colder areas
Early harvest
Lesser incidence of cracking comparing with rainy areas.
What today behave well in Murcia is probably that will go well in
Northern areas tomorrow.
